Academics

Since 1994, Children of Peace has challenged its students academically while also providing them with the support they need to succeed. We believe that every child can reach their full potential, and we are committed to providing them with the resources they need to do so.

Progressive Education

Our Progressive Education Program is centered on holistic student education, prioritizing inquiry-based learning, personal growth, and inclusivity for all students, irrespective of their background. Our grade bands are organized into learning cohorts, promoting a strong sense of community and mutual support among students. Moreover, we provide Pre-Advanced Placement courses in English Language Arts and Science for our 7th and 8th-grade middle school students.

Montessori Program

Children of Peace School offers an early childhood program in both our Progressive and Montessori programs. Both programs are designed to foster a love of learning, creativity, and independence in young children. In addition to our strong academic foundations, we also prioritize the social and emotional development of each child. We believe that a well-rounded education extends beyond the classroom, which is why we incorporate outdoor play, arts, music, and physical activities into our daily schedule.

Inclusive Education

Our Inclusive Education services include Deaf & Hard of Hearing programming, IEP, CEP (Christian Education Plan) and Sign Language curriculum. We strive to create an environment where every student feels valued and understood, with tailored support to meet their unique needs. Our team of dedicated professionals works closely with families, educators, and specialists to ensure that each child has access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Pre-Advanced Placement

At Children of Peace we are excited to offer a Pre-Advanced Placement (AP) program designed to be accessible to all students. Following College Board’s AP Program framework, the Pre-AP program offers grade-level instruction that develop skills for future success with AP in high school. Students learn the skills they need for academic success-Evidence-based reading, support claims, interpreting data, and making sense of the world with quantitative information.
