Annual Catholic Appeal Student Testimonials Request
The annual Catholic appeal is the weekend of February 8-9, 2020. We need 2-3 students to attend mass at Holy Family-Notre Dame church on Sunday, February 9, 2020, to speak briefly about their gratitude for their Catholic education and how their own education has positively affected their life. Students will be given a script they can use. Teachers have recommended students and we will contact parents for permission.
Catholic Schools Week
Catholic Schools Week, is the week of January 26, 2020. We begin Catholic Schools Week with an Open House on Sunday, January 26, 2020. A copy of the Catholic Schools Week flyer is included in your Wednesday folder.
We want to focus for the remainder of this school year on gratitude. Each and every day we want our students to reflect and be grateful to God for His love and protection and for the gifts.
During Catholic Schools Week on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, we are Celebrating Parents and Grandparents. All parents and grandparents are invited to worship with us during our prayer service. Prayer service begins at approximately 8:30 a.m.
After prayer service, each student will be given a Gratitude Jar. We are asking that each day our students and families write down on a small slip of paper what they are grateful for and put that slip in the Gratitude Jar. During the Christmas season when we celebrate the birth of Christ, each family should open their Gratitude Jar and reflect on God’s blessings all year.
Just a friendly reminder that each family has a $300 per year fundraising obligation. Selling of the taffy apples in the fall and the candy sale in the spring will help families meet this obligation.

Thanks to all the families who donated shoes. We collected almost 70 bags of shoes. We are still collecting shoes until the end of May.
We are in the planning phase of providing yoga and mindfulness classes to students in Pre-School3, Pre-School4, and Montessori. As the plans are finalized, we will provide additional information.
